Concrete Grain Silos

Sanacon used DIMCOST to predict the deterioration of concrete silos by assessing critical durability factors such as carbonation and chloride ingress. By inputting data on material properties, environmental exposure, and design specifications, Sanacon was able to model the long-term behavior of the silo’s concrete, providing accurate predictions of when deterioration might impact its structural integrity. Additionally, DIMCOST enabled Sanacon to compare different repair and maintenance strategies, simulating their effects on the silo’s service life. This allowed Sanacon to select the most cost-effective and efficient approach to ensuring the silo’s durability and long-term performance.
